List of new IEEE 2020 2021 topics
Today the web has touched each corner of the planet and has affected human life in unthinkable ways in which. we are currently coming into an era of even tons of perceived property wherever a very wide selection of appliances are getting to be connected to internet by using internet of Things (IoT) technology. it is a dynamic world network infrastructure with configuration wherever physical attributes and virtual network and use intelligent interface.
IoT devices have self configurable capabilities that allows several devices that employment along to certain functionality to the user. IoT conjointly has some functions like devices will connect automatically to web and update automatically. additionally IoT devices will connect with others with none special efforts by using protocols.
IoT refers to a system of interconnected, internet-connected objects that are able to collect and transfer info over a wireless network while not human intervention.
Why is IoT?:
When things are connected to internet information which means that things can send information or receive information. When things can do this it means that they are smart. Hence IoT is smart to send information, receive information and act on that information and manage that information on cloud. So in this situation sensors have a major role. They collect the information and send it to the computer. Computer act on that information. There are many examples where we can use IoT. As a result of IoT, it makes cities safer; additionally healthcare is to be safer and updated a lot by IoT and IoT consumes a lot of energy and makes things efficient. Multi-technology, multi-network IoT connectivity solutions deliver the best price by combining the advantages of 3G, 4G, and soon-to-be 5G cellular solutions across GSM and LTE networks.
IoT Protocols:
IoT work on some layers protocol which are Link layer, Network layer and transport layer protocols
Link layer: In this protocol data defines how data feeds to the network layer and applies some commands by device to which user is connected. based on the user.
Network Layer: Network layer carries packets from host to destination by using address of host and destination. This things done by IPV4 and IPV6 schema.
Transport Layer: Transport layer uses for performance layer. It transfers data to the destination with with some functions like error control, segmentation, congestion control. This layer feed datagram to the application layer. Datagram consist of host and destination addresses.
Application Layer: Application layer is the interface between end device and the transport layer. This layer defines the type of message like request or response message.
How IOT works:
In IoT, sensors are performing an important role. Sensors sensing small changes in the environment and collecting very minute data. Collecting data could be health essential, temperature or something else. We can integrate multiple sensors to pick multiple small changes. Once data gets picked up, that data is stored in a cloud platform using some medium like wired or wireless. Such wireless technologies are WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet, LPWAN. To transfer all the data over the cloud we can select one of these mediums based on complexity, power consumption, bandwidth and specific requirements of an IoT application. Once data gets stored on cloud, we have to make a better decision making for that data should have to pass through some process like data analysis and processing securely using big data to make the smart thing more efficient. Smart thing means completing some task automatically which is time-consuming and repetitive. Data analysis is a must because we have to check whether the transferred data is within the required range or not. If data is suitable then we have to notify the user through some medium such as text message or mail. After getting notification, the user can take action accordingly based on the requirement.
Advantages of IoT:
The Internet of things has many more benefits to users as well as industries. Nowadays IoT is widely used in industries because of its benefits that are:
- First benefit is that IoT is a cost effective technology.
- Working on IoT is most safe and efficient.
- Because of IoT productivity rate increases and man power decreases so there are no fatal errors.
- Because of IoT new business opportunities are increasing.
- Maintenance of assets is important, but IoT is the savior for these.
Features of IOT:
The most important features of IoT on which it works are listed below:
- Dynamic nature: the primary activity of the internet of things is to collect data from its environment. This is achieved with the dynamic changes that take place around the devices.
- Heterogeneity: Ability to interact with other devices and platform through different networks.
- Integration: IoT can integrate the various sensors and platforms to improve the user experience and requirements.
- Artificial Intelligence: IoT makes things smarter and makes life easier through the use of data.
- Sensing: Sensors sensing small changes in the environment and collecting very minute data. Collecting data could be health essential, temperature or something else. We can integrate multiple sensors to pick multiple small changes.
How to do Project in IoT:-
1. Make an outline of your whole project
When you think about the topic of your project, lot of ideas come into your mind. It is important to make a rough sketch of your whole project on a piece of paper, before you start working on it. Once you have clear picture of your project, you can start implementing it by step by step.
2. Finalize Hardware and software requirements
Each project is different and unique in its own way. That’s because the hardware requirements (components used) and software requirements (programming language, other software’s) used in the project of same domain can be different. Therefore its important to think of hardware and software that you are going to be used at start of the project.
3. Consult with your mentor
Everyone wants to make their project innovative these days. But applying your innovation in your traditional project framework can get confusing. Thus it is important to discuss your project ideas and way of implementation with your mentor first.
4. Develop the project
When all above steps are done , its time to implement your project. All the other things will start getting right on its place as you go on developing your project.
